Kellari Taverna

This was our fourth visit to Kellari Tavern. sadly, this visit was very disappointing. The service was terrible and all three courses came out less than 45 minutes. You no sooner put your fork down and The next course was there and your plates were cleaned. Our server never asked us if we would like an additional glass of wine, nor did she ask if we would want any coffee. The sea bass on the main entrée was overcooked, however the appetizer of fried calamari Was very good. We did order from the Price fix dinner menu. This was definitely the most rushed meal I have ever experienced and along with the poor service made for a disappointing dining experience. It will be a while before I may decide to try this restaurant again.

We recently had the pleasure of hiring Kellari Taverna for a catering event hosted by Philoptochos, serving the Hellenic College Holy Cross 2024 Seminarians, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The team at Kellari Taverna crafted a perfect Lenten menu that left our guests raving about the flavors and quality of the dishes.From the tender calamari to the assortment of delectable dips, succulent shrimp, perfectly cooked fish, refreshing salad, savory potatoes, and indulgent desserts, every item on the menu was executed flawlessly. The attention to detail in each dish truly showcased the culinary expertise of the Kellari Taverna team.Moreover, the staff that attended the event were incredibly attentive, ensuring that every guest had everything they needed, from food to drinks. Their professionalism and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening, making our event run seamlessly.Overall, we cannot recommend Kellari Taverna highly enough for their exceptional catering services. If you're looking for delicious food, impeccable service, and a memorable dining experience, look no further than Kellari Taverna. We look forward to working with them again in the future.

Perfect restaurant in the way that only NYC can deliver. We ate a light late-night after-theater meal, and they easily accommodated dietary restrictions. The ambience is relaxed and professional, and the food was straightforward, but well done, with good ingredients. It was more than possible to eat well and very healthy. The wait staff were really good, though (understandably) they were bringing the evening to a close as it was late. The Manager, Jorvos(?), was charming and attentive (we were celebrating a birthday), and we left feeling like it was the perfect dining experience to have had on a visit to the city to celebrate.

I’m bumming. Dined here dozens of times pre Covid bc I stay at a club down the street. Last month ordered the branzino open fish that used to be so good. It was so thin it was like some other diner already had it. Last night I went safe with the cod special. Came out in seconds with hard bits on top from the hot station. Inedible. Walk a block west for better French choices.

I've eaten here multiple times, a couple of times for formal/work events. The food is always delicious and fresh. The bar is also high quality. Would definitely recommend.
