Kid-friendliness: The staff were very friendly and even gave our kids some complimentary soft-serve!
Short and sweet, just like my patience when I'm hangry. But as soon as I walked in, the customer service was ! You definitely get what you pay for, which is FRESH HOT food. A few short minutes for food off the grill. Yeah. Worth the wait? You betcha!
40 minutes for two milkshakes and a burger at 12am, I'm not coming back anymore
We arrived in town after a long journey from Florida; tired from the road and hungry for some comfort, I was overwhelmed to see Joyland was just a block from our hotel. After inspecting the menu, we decided to order basically everything (the nice girl working the counter thought we were crazy)! The crustburger was a must, as was the famous joystick and we had to know if the sweet potato handpie could surpass the pie from Sean Brock's South cookbook. The food was all very delicious, the crustburger and its sauce are a beautiful pair and the juiciness and seasoning of the chicken are better than one finds at restaurants that would easily charge three times as much. The Chi-Dog was a touch skimpy but still tasty but any sin was quickly forgiven by the absolutely delicious hand pie with its sweet glaze and we paired it beautifully with a bourbon milkshake. The food was truly a joy and we plan to come back often. Update: Finally made it in for breakfast, the Waffle fries are great and the chicken biscuit is phenomenal!
Simply incredible. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. So juicy and full of flavor. Waffle fries were very unique as well
Joyland Deluxe burger and Chicken on a stick. Enough said!
Sorry but even though I now work in the WeWork Connected space, I won't be back to Joyland. 1. Long wait - Took 21 minutes to get my Impossible Burger and crinkle fries. It wasn't that crowded when I arrived at around 11:30 a.m., only about 3 people in line in front of me. 2. Basic condiments missing - They don't have lettuce or mayo. I asked for no onions, pickles, or cheese. She read it back to me. I got pickles. 3. Food quality - food was hot and tasty, but fries were WAY too salty! I didn't care for their special sauce, too mustardy. Soda fountain drink a bit flat. 4. Price too high - I guess $20 is the going rate for lunch these days. But, the food quality was fast food, although not fast at all, and I expect to pay a lot less than $19.18 for that. Vegetarian options: Impossible burger
GLUTEN FREE FRIED CHICKEN safe for celiacs!!!! Separate frier for fries and chicken! I was thrilled to be able to try Nashville fried chicken. My husband also said the non gluten free items are really good too.
