Friend had recommended the breakfast at JJ Cafe years ago. “To-go” was the only option at that time and sometimes you just want to sit down to enjoy breakfast served hot. This cafe inside the bakery offers dine-in option. Ordered the “Specialty Fried Pork Chop noodle soup” which is amazingly delicious: two pieces of thick pork chops are lightly salted and the taste of noodle soup is amazingly in traditional Taiwan street noodle soup 陽春麵 style in bone broth with taste of radish and perfect sprinkles of white pepper powder. Since the closing of Taichung Harbor 台中港餐廳(Alhambra), 老鄉親, Good Taste 味佳 (Monterey Park), and the latest TenRen 天仁(Alh), it is hard to find authentic Taiwanese “street style noodle soup” 陽春麵 in San Gabriel valley. JJ Cafe has excelled itself and gone above and beyond a bakery to serve tasty food in the same establishment! This shopping plaza is notorious for its parking for years; but the taste of food will definitely make a stop-by well worthwhile.

Dining doesn’t open until 11 am for some reason. Very disappointed that their breakfast items are only available for take out.

我們今天中午點了一牛肉麵,台式炒米粉，蔥油餅。 不得不說—實在太難吃！口味不對。牛肉太少。 Waist of time and money. 令人失望！

Ambiente: despojado, casual. Serviço: rápido, atencioso, eficiente e simpáticos. Comida: pedimos macarrão ensopado com "bolinhos de carne" típico de de Taiwan, que estava levemente picante, com toques de gergelim. "Panqueca" de nabo, levemente salgada e grelhada, que estava crocante por fora e cremosa por dentro, com molho de alho, shoyu. De sobremesa, um pedaço de bolo de morango com chantilly, que era muito macio, feito em camadas com recheios diferentes e doce na medida certa. Há, ainda, uma variedade de pães e bolos. Uma festa para os olhos e paladar.
