Terrible service, the mixed girl with the neck tattoo was extremely rude and looked unclean to be serving food and drink. I hope the manager can train the staff better.
Java and Hopps is a fantastic little coffee shop and a great addition to the Addison Circle area. The food is always tasty and the employees are very friendly. However, what brings it down is that the restaurant has a MAJOR ingredient restock problem, with them being out of major items often for multiple days in a row. Why, just today I went to get my favorite croissant egg sandwich and chai latte, only to find out they were out of croissants AND chai. Sole guy, they said, was arriving with refills in 15 minutes, but they had no idea what he had with him and thus what he would actually be refilling. And they were out of croissants when I went last week, and the fact that they had taken down the baked goods menu altogether tells me that they had not once gotten more croissants in all that time. They've also been out of eggs, bananas, horchata, and I imagine they've run out of plenty of other things I haven't ordered. Upper management needs to get a grip on making sure the restaurant has everything it needs to fulfill orders. And it's such a shame too because, as I said, they food is sooo good!
Love the outdoor seating arrangement and the concept. There were three people in line in front of me, the first two got out quickly. The last one took over five minutes for three banana splits (with no bananas because they were out of stock). The lady taking orders was the rudest barista I’ve ever encountered. Tried to ask her for allergen information on the frozen drinks and she snapped “I can’t even make that for you because we are out of everything frozen and I’m so busy right now I won’t even have the time to make that.” Ordered a hot mocha & she gave me a dirty cup. Absolutely would not come back.
I stopped to a beer and look at there menu. It looked good and the prices seem fair I will come by for lunch very soon.
I really like this location and the service are great .
WORST EXPERIENCE. I used to LOVE this place. Took all my coworkers to this place I found in Addison. A coffee shop with milkshakes, breakfast, coffees, frozen lemonades etc. Until today. We went for a milkshake and it had BUTTER on it. a GIANT chunk of butter with other pieces all around the milkshake. That is disgusting. We are not coming back and if you go do not order any milkshake unless you want to be drinking manteca.......
Employees were very helpful. iced lavender latte was tasty. Even my dog enjoyed his pup cup! If you are around, must check them out.
