I was in the area with my family on Wednesday and decided to look up restaurants near me, I chose J .Alexander's and I'm glad I did. Our waitress Laura did a phenomenal job attending to our needs and her service was amazing. The food and drinks are top-tier, please order the ribs when you go. Make sure to visit, you will not regret it.
Online ordering for pick up is a total joke here. They could care less. If you place an order for pickup ensure you show up 15 minutes late minimum to get your food. And by the off chance you arrive and the order is ready, it’s because they made it instantly when you placed it and now the food is cold. Lose lose situation. Whoever owns this place needs to get their act together. You have 70 employees on a single shift and still can’t get orders out correctly. Pathetic.
Thai Kai chicken salad is awesome and consistent. Also the French Dip is outstanding. Filet is also great! Parking: Limited parking spots. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access
UPDATE: The quality of the filet has gone down significantly. I have been going to J'Alexander for over 15 years because of the amazing quality filet, but the last two times, I have been very disappointed. I don't know if they changed the supplier of meat, but it seems Applebee's quality now. I don't think I will go back. ____ J. Alexander's is just a very solid dining option anytime. The service is great and the food is consistently good. I go there for the filet mignon which is amazing and comes with a side for $35 bucks. You would pay $45 for the same filet at a steakhouse and does not even come with side. Also, the burgers are amazing, and the prime rib, and the Alex salad.

I’m a big fan of the food at J Alexander’s, but I have serious concerns about some of the bar staff, aside from Michele and Laura, who are great. A couple of the bartenders, particularly two girls, display such a negative attitude it’s almost enough to make you want to walk out. They act as if customers should be thankful just to be sitting in front of them. This kind of behavior is really disgusting. It’s not what you’d expect from a place that otherwise has such high standards. Management really needs to address this issue but I doubt that will happen, I think the manager Mike is part of the problem, based on some of his vulgar comments that I’ve overheard toward guests and staff, I doubt the situation will ever be addressed from corporate….
