Checked this place’s open and close times on their Google My Business page before we walked there with all of our kids from our hotel. Got there 45 minutes before the restaurant was scheduled to close at 7 p.m. They refused to seat us because, apparently, they don’t seat people past a certain time. We weren’t told what time that was, just that we were too late. (We learned later that they put “takeout” 6-7 on their Facebook page only.) Kicker: There were multiple other families eating at tables when they turned us away. We have eaten at thousands of restaurants all over the world, paying minuscule amounts in some and huge amounts in others. Never once has a restaurant refused to seat us before their stated closing time, and certainly not an hour before they close. Awful.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Isla Pilipinas Cafe for lunch the other day! I was really missing Filipino food and I had some friends popping into town for lunch and this seemed like a great place to meet for a meal. Once you walk through the door it feels like you're visiting with family. I loved the atmosphere in here-- so cozy and bright! I got the lemon ginger juice to drink and it was the perfect blend of sweet, sour, and spicy. We then got the lumpiang shanghai (eggrolls) which were PERFECT! So crisp and perfectly seasoned. We then moved onto the main event-- garlic rice, chicken pancit, BBQ, lechon kawali, and chicken adobo. It was all so incredibly delicious! It was like eating my mom's home cooking and provided the warmth and comfort of home. I'm a transplant to SoFlo and know that from now on whenever I miss my mom's cooking I will inevitably find myself here. We also indulged ourselves with the ube cake, halo halo, and leche flan for dessert and oh my word it was all so delicious! Though you can find flan pretty much everywhere in SoFlo, there's something so much richer and indulgent with a Filipino leche flan and this leche flan was absolute perfection. My friends who came with me had never had Filipino food before and couldn't get over how delicious the whole meal was. I would recommend Isla Pilipinas Cafe to any and everyone! Thanks so much to the staff at Isla Pilipinas for such a wonderful experience! I'll definitely be back!

My family and I went to Isla Pilipinas Cafe and had an amazing time. The food and the service were top notch and the atmosphere of the restaurant was so relaxing and comfortable. We will definitely be back to try more dishes soon!

My girls and I enjoyed EVERY THING WE ATE! We ordered thinking we would have food leftover but the food was so good we left NO CRUMBS! Such a welcoming, wonderful, family vibe. Thank you to the Dad, Brother, and Sister for being so nice and cooking such good food. Shout out to Mom even though she wasn't there! Can't wait to go back!

This is not your typical Filipino restaurant. it is leaps and bounds better! This is a sit down restaurant where the food is fresh/made to order. The presentation is very good, much like a high end restaurant. The Filipino food is very tasty, the best I have had in a long time. The owner, Jeanette and her husband, Edgar (the cook) are very nice and hospitable people. I Highly recommend this restaurant! We are returning tomorrow to order food to go on our trip back to Orlando.

I am just glad that Chef Edgar (a fmr. Chef de Partie from world renowned cruise ship Holland America Line) opened up a cafè. His passion & love for cooking is now accessible and available for the world to experience and taste his cooking. His willingness to nourish, please, and ensure the enjoyment of the people coming to Isla Pilipinas Cafè; is something you’ll want to come back for more. Like when you are away from home, you’re yearning for a decent home cooked meal. Quality Ingredients + TLC dish just for you; all you could think of, is the quality of a dish that makes a good home cooked meal. So, look no further when you are in Ft. Lauderdale area, when you visit Isla Pilipinas Cafè it’s like you are home. In addition, the price of the menu is very affordable.

This place was second to none for service. Very friendly and helpful beyond any expectations. I would go back in a heartbeat!
