The food was middling and overpriced. Jim, our waiter, particularly stood out as rude and ungracious.

Very disappointing restaurant week experience. Waitress tried very hard to sell us on the (not complimentary) bread to accompany the soup, except the bread arrived 10 minutes later than the soup. This would not be as big of a problem if the soup’s portion was big, but you could finish it in less than 10 spoonfuls. The medium rare steak turned out medium well and the medium duck turned out well done. (Didn’t take a photo of the opened steak but the duck is clearly well done just from the way it is first given to us.) They were taking so long with the food (we were one of the first customers) and the restaurant was filling up at this point so we no longer felt incentivized to send the food back. They also swapped out the Brussels sprouts in the steak dish out with zucchini with no notice. What I also don’t understand is that before we sat down, the manager gave us an elaborate overview of how this restaurant has been in existence for 25 years. I’d expect better customer service and organization from such a long-standing restaurant. The amount of food given was also pretty abysmal for a $65 per person menu. We left quite hungry and dissatisfied.

Excellent food and service, by the end of the meal we felt like valued long time patrons rather than just another table to serve. The mussel appetizer was outstanding and the Chilean Sea Bass was unique and delicious. Save room for Crème Brûlée.

I have been eating at Isa for many years!!! This is my favorite French restaurant in San Francisco. The food is consistently delicious, ambience is great, and the staff have been amazing. I have been taking my friends, family, and new friends here over the years. Couple of months ago, I was eating there with my friend who had visitors from out of town. As I was raving this restaurant to them, I thought of having the holiday party there with my former coworkers. I approached Sam, the manager. He was kind, helpful, and always prompt on his responses. He and the staff opened Isa on a Monday when they normally closed on Mondays for our former work Holiday party on December 4, 2023. They prepared a delicious pre-fixed meal of dungeons crab salad, wild prawns, potato leek or Maine lobster soup, seared scallops with mashed potatoes, truffle risotto, natural hanger steak, semifreedo all ameretto or vanilla bean crème brûlée. They even printed out the menu with our work's name and date and placed it on top of each plate settings. Sam and his staff at Isa exceeded our expectations. Everyone had a fabulous time and raved about the yummy food and service!! We are forever grateful and thankful for them for making our holiday party a successful one! I highly recommend eating at Isa!!

Cozy lovely restaurant with great vibes and service!

Amazing French Cuisine. The server is friendly, the food is so delicious, fresh and tasty. They were flexible and substituted the veggies for me w/mashed potatoes, turned out great. The Roasted potatoes, Truffle Risotto and the Flourless chocolate cake all tasted great !! Recommend for sure.
