Iron Cactus Mexican Restaurant and Margarita Bar

The staff was top notch... everyone was there to serve us. We had table side guacamole prepared for us. It was so good. The food was DELICIOUS. Next time in Austin, it will be my first stop.

Our server Rey was really nice, was quick with our order in a busy, and rainy evening. Appetizers were good, we orded the brisket queso and brisket quesadillas. Our main dish was the chicken and steak combo, cilantro lime was very good, steak was ok and chicken was over cooked but ok overall..

The stacked pork enchilada was wonderful...fried egg is nice topper! Service not so good...very blind that there was a guy at the bar...I was the only one there and I had to flag them down just to get utensils/napkins, asked for beverage refill and dude acted like he was doing me a favor...manager breezed by me several times and never even made eye contact, let alone ask me how everything was...decent food...Bad service/ management...

DO NOT RECOMMEND! I came to eat here and my card was charged twice once for $44 (which was correct) and another for $95. I called the restaurant immediately once I noticed and Brian completely disregarded my concern stating “I can’t do nothing about it we’re busy” and rushed me off the phone, the next day I called again and spoke to Nick who took a bit more of my information and assured I would have my refund for the $95 in 3 days possibly by Monday or Tuesday. Today Thursday I took a look at my account to see if the $95, which were charges to my card incorrectly, had been refunded only to find ANOTHER $74 charge on top of the other two. Still have yet to get any communication as to why my card continues to be charged.

Terrific Mexican food and a huge selection accompanied by excellent service. It's right on a busy street with lots of traffic. So you might have trouble getting a table at peak hours.

Isn't good that the restaurant in advance ask for 20% of gratitude tip And is a rule that Everyone must wait 20 min To consume some at the bar N Definitely never. Come back

Drinks are weak. Think syrupy citrus water. Food was good. For 2 people with 2 cocktails, 1 soda, 1 appetizer, and 2 entrees our total was 122. This restaurant automatically adds 20% gratuity.
