I think I just expect a little more wow factor with the prices they're asking. The doughnuts were pretty good, and the toppings were fun, just a looot of money. Parking: A ton of parking available Wheelchair accessibility: No issues

This place is pretty good; it's my go-to spot for donuts in Colorado Springs although I wouldn't consider myself to be a donut connoisseur so there are probably better donuts somewhere in the city. I had Voodoo Doughnut in Denver and I thought they were a little bit better, but I wouldn't drive all the way up there just for some donuts. I've heard a few people tell me they like Amy's Donuts better so I would give them a shot as well if you're really into donuts. I only had them once at the original Fountain location and wasn't impressed. Hurts has a larger selection of donuts, a larger and nicer store, and in my opinion better tasting donuts. There are four main types of donuts you can get here: the regular, chocolate cake, birthday cake, and red velvet. I like red velvet if it is done right, but it is my least favorite type of donut here because the 2 or 3 times I have gotten a red velvet donut at Hurts it is always really dry. Also take note that if you buy a donut with Oreo cookie chunks on it, they come out really dry too (I'm guessing they put them on before putting the donuts in the oven). I'm a huge Oreo fan, but they don't taste that great on these donuts. My absolute favorite item here is the vanilla birthday cake. I have gotten that and the Little Timmy a bunch and it always comes out really good. They're basically the same thing with different toppings. The regular donuts are decent, but they don't really stand out from any other donut place. My favorite regular donut is probably the Homer. The chocolate cake donuts are pretty good, but it is a toss-up on if you are going to get a really good one or somewhat drier donut.

Stale, Disgusting & Extra Service Charges on my CC After reading the great reviews I stopped by this place after a nearby appointment. What a waste of $. The 3 or 4 donuts I bought and ate over the next 24 hours were all stale and completely unremarkable. For example, being a native Floridian, I tried the key lime donut. It was gross and had nothing like the condensed milk and graham cracker ingredients of a key lime dessert, except maybe lime flavor instead of lemon. Worse than stale donuts, some service fee was added to my credit card. It's one thing if you're at a restaurant, seated and receive service. But being charged a fee to walk up and order is beyond. Fortunately, there's a Krispy Kreme right up the street. By chance I was in there 2 days ago. A worker was busy restocking the condiment bar when I walked in, and I told her to take her time, that I truly was in no rush. She seemed to appreciate my consideration, and once gloved up and behind the counter, she offered an extra donut and free beverage. That is service, without a scam fee, and delicious, fresh donuts.
