Great service and very good menu. Everything was perfect.
Absolutely amazing. Damian was an amazing host. We never actually made it last appetizers though. My wife had the octopus and the cevechie. Find her review here somewhere for pictures. I had the trout dip and the Brussel sprouts. Both amazing. We came back a few months later and again had an amazing meal again and actually made it to the main menu to eat! We are very sad to hear the are closing due to a disagreeable landlord. We visited again last night and we're not disappointed. Victoria was great! The Brussel sprouts were just like they have been every visit, and the Flat Iron steak was tender amazingly seasoned. We will miss Humboldt Kitchen! Final note, I hope the building owner who won't renewal their lease finds herself with incurable hangnail and cuticle problems daily until she comes to her senses, which could be the rest of her life. Losing Humboldt in that area is big hit to the neighborhood. Greedy jerk! Vegetarian options: They have vegeterian options.
We were pleasantly surprised by Humboldt! Whoever the head chef is..... Kudos. Because this menu absolutely spectacular. We had a bunch of appetizers and let me tell you.... They were SO GOOD. The octopus was so en Pointe! The spicy ceviche (cod based) was very very tasty as well. The Brussel sprouts were surprisingly tasty as well. They even made for delicious leftovers. Damian was our server and he was awesome. Excellent menu knowledge. The atmosphere of the place was also quite nice. Usually we don't go back to the same place twice but we will be returning to try the entrees! Update 2/18/2023 - still amazing as the last time we went here! Food is still amazing, customer service is still excellent, atmosphere is lovely. We tried entrees this time and it was so delicious! The pork ribs were extremely fork tender! The crème brûlée was to die for! Update 8/19/2023 - sad to learn Humboldt Kitchen is closing due to a disagreement with the landlord and owners. We dined here last night for the last time. Everything, as usual, was delicious and amazing. Our server, Victoria, was also a lot of fun. We are going to miss coming here. It's been our favorite place to dine in and Humboldt is going to be very missed!
It was a fun Sunday brunch. Sad to see you go...
It was a wonderful first visit! I would return often if I could, but, unfortunately, their landlord is driving them to close this coming weekend. Excellent roast beef, Cesar salad, and the creme brulee was fantastic! I do hope the staff lands somewhere close and continues their great work.
Our first time dining here was Humboldt's last. What a loss this will be for Denver and the neighborhood. Everything was delicious and delightful. One would think that being the last night of service, employees might not feel like putting in the effort. Not here. All staff we encountered thanked us for coming in and inquired about our experience. Best of luck to all who were affiliated with Humboldt Kitchen and Bar. Wish we would have found this gem sooner.
