------------------------------------------------------------------------------ NOT REALLY CONVINCING... ... I actually wanted to go to "Wo Hop". However, it was already full when I arrived and there was already a long queue outside. I didn't want to queue there too. I was looking for an alternative and was hungry. So I went next door to "Hop Kee", also down the stairs into the basement. Strikingly, it was just as full as next door, just as empty. The place was, let's say, tidier, but all the more lifeless and loveless. Very sober. Unfortunately, this was also reflected in the prices and the selection of dishes. So if you wanted to differentiate the dishes from the restaurant next door, then you succeeded. I hardly found anything similar. The portion was more than big, actually enough for two people. It was fine. However, the price was no longer really appropriate, it felt too high. There was no real feeling of well-being either. Not a restaurant I would go to again.
If you know, you know. Cash only, reasonable prices, bring your friends and family - great thing is they can take reservations for large groups, give them a call ahead of time. Crab - uh, yes. Fried flounder - heck yes (one of my favs here) Obvi the fried pork chops - that will bring joy to the pickiest eaters. We got the snails too, this is a great beer snack. Don’t forget your veggies! And don’t just order “safe”! Loved my fortune so I’m posting for y’all.
