Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

OMG! After a mix up in pick up time was corrected, I got my food quickly and barely had to wait. Drove 11 minutes to my daughter’s house and our boiled dinners were still hot! We were just in New Orleans last December and I have to say that this meal was better than what we had there. The flavor was perfect and my hush puppies were phenomenal. My daughter had the Cajun Boil and I had the mini headless shrimp boil. I am definitely going back!

My husband and our friend came to sit at the bar since there was minimal seating. The bar tended Jenna was amazing, this was in no way her fault. When the order was wrong we were not aware til the receipt came, they informed us once eaten no changes. 2 issues. 1. We didn't order the item 2. The item was DRASTICALLY under weight. The manager came and we explained the situation, we've been to MANY hook and reels never experiencing this level of unprofessionalism. The manager, MIKI yelled at my husband for 10 minutes straight, I asked her numerous times to calm down, refusing to adjust the ticket, to then continue on. I informed her she was being unprofessional, there was no need to yell as she was making the environment hostile, we were more than willing to pay and leave once adjusted. 15 minutes of back and forth and she adjusted the ticket. $60 for ONE king crab LEG A SINGULAR LEG baffling. That is highway robbery at its finest, to also refuse to disclose the price when asked per manager she refused. Our night ended heated and unenjoyable. I truly hope others have a better experience this will definitely be our last time at this Austin location, and were coming from out of town.
