Food excellent, not enough eating area. Ok we waited 1 1/2 hours We had a hard time enjoying because not enough space to eat together
This place lives up to the reviews and rave. We ordered the oysters, clam chowder, mussels, burger, 2 glasses wine and 2 glasses of lager. I was satisfied with it. The clam chowder had a lighter soup to it while the mussels had a thicker stronger taste. Both were wiped out with the bread. The oysters were super fresh. Perfect. I would definitely recommend this place and come back again. There will be a line to queue in. But it was worth it as we were then seated at the table facing Bay Bridge and not facing the queue. It was such a good lunch. In total we spent about usd100 each. There were two of us. If you had more people the cost would be lower.
The BEST seafood I've ever had!
THE best restaurant in San Francisco. Front of the house consistently provides speedy service with warmth even at the end of a busy, busy day. Back of the house can be counted on for quality and flavor while also being highly seasonal. I love that they always have the timeless standards (steamers, mussels, etc.) on the menu but the flavors and accompaniments will change through the year. A visit to the ferry building is remiss without a visit to hog island.
