Hits the Spot Diner is a good place for great tasting diner fare. The place could use a face lift... it's looking kind of old and sad, but the food is spot on. I had the chicken fried steak skillet. Gravy and plenty of it covering two eggs, the aforementioned steak and home fries, all excellent. My other half had French toast, also very good!! The service was good, not great... but definitely friendly. They are always busy, with a wait time for peak hours... but if you want good food, you're willing to wait!!

This is one of my favorite places to bring people visiting from out of town! The food is amazing, the potatoes are next level, and the service is hilarious. Truly a Denver classic, and highly recommend for everybody to go at least 50 times
