Lamb kebab was the best lamb I ever had and I try to prefect lamb chops every 3 months. I would never in my life choose veggie over meat but the veggie dumplings were so good I will order them over the meat ones.
Had a delightful dining experience at Helman restaurant,The ambiance was inviting, service top-notch, and the dishes were a perfect blend of flavors. Highly recommend trying their uzbaki paloow and kabobs a true culinary delight!
Very good food but very poor service
This place is outstanding, we’ve been there multiple times and all dishes are delicious and traditional afghani. Also not very expensive for the amount of food that you get. Happy to have it in the neighborhood!
Very good food, service, and atmosphere!
One of the best restaurant. very good food and specially Afghan sick kabab was the best.
Delicious lamb and food. They try their best .
One of the boneless chicken kebabs was so good and this was such a yummy meal and made me really happy.
Such a lovely meal! I had never had Afghan food before and I was blown away by the beautiful, delicate flavor combinations. We tried several appetizers and a few entrees...everything was delicious and surprising. Our server was extremely helpful and kind. The restaurant wasn't very busy while we were there, but it has a classic ambiance. Can't recommend it enough!
Save your money and TIME… walked in waited for 5 minutes .. it was me and my wife … no host at the counter … finally we got seated. After I discussed everything I could with my wife that would not upset her …at the 15 minute mark I checked my park chicago app tik toking to 16 and then 17 minutes where I had to ask the host / cook/ server to hand us menu and water …. Exactly 32 minutes he took our order …we ordered appetizer and one dish …. at 45 minute mark I realized I was getting looks from my wife for which I did not marry her for and had to extend my parking time on the app and realized that the host/owner does not have any skills in customer service … I got up with my wife letting him know we are leaving and he stood behind the counter smiling saying it’s coming … what I know was coming was my parking coming to an end and my patience … loss for words and patience … I walked my beautiful wife with stunning eyes and her amazing hair waved by the breezy hair to Noon o Kabob … and I had to pause to extend my parking … within minutes seated … life was good …Owners at Helmand need to work on their customer service … I guess that smile was on point but not their service …
