loyal customer to this location for 15 years. We come here to celebrate holidays and birthdays all the time but we will never be back again. Soup is bland, meat smell foul, tofu and potato gone bad and taste sour. Lamb skewers look like they are STEAMED, not grilled, how ridiculous. Quality declined so much and you can see the owner trying to cut corner everywhere. Water leaking from the ceiling by the entrance, no warning sign - a lawsuit is waiting for the owner because I’m sure someone is going to slip.

Context - I love hotpot. I have eaten at multiple places in the country. My favorite as of now if the Happy Lamb in Salt Lake City. The review below is on my aggregated experience. Overall - I would not come back or recommend to anybody. For the price average $50 after base, taxes, tips, and sauce - you can get better service and quality food. A 18% tip is already required during payment regardless of the service. I am applaud by this place. - what can they do to make me come back; provide more sauce choices and not charge $.99, truly marinate the meat, be on top of their customer service by remembering their order. Food - the quality of food and broth is decent. For $31 to $36 you get a variety of meat and vegetables. The only downside I felt was the “marinated” meat. It is my favorite and for it to be presented with no flavor I I felt is a representation of their engagement of working there. With that said… Service - it was pretty frustrating. We were a table of 6 and the dining volume during 7pm on a Sunday night wasn’t too crazy. They forgot our orders multiple times. We had to gave them multiple prompts to get rice, noodles, etc… - don’t expect for them to give you detailed attention to your needs. You really need to ask for everything. Salt, cilantro, green onions…they have it, but for some reason hiding it in the back. - water wise, I felt they were pretty good to check to make sure everyone had water. - they are nice and helpful people, however I felt operational wise, there’s a big disconnect between the workers understanding of what good customer looks like and how it should be delivered. Sauce - for me, the dipping sauce is a big part of hotpot and Korean bbq. Sometimes, I got to hotpot just with the dipping sauce as the most exciting thing I want to consume. Guess what, not only you are limited to 5 types of sauce ingredients e.g soy sauce, sesame oil, and their house sauce (no ponzu, pepper, or herbs), it cost $.99 cents to access their sauce. I am not sure why they don’t just integrate the cost into their base price. It makes the you feel disappointed, chested, feeling taken advantage of.
