Had a great discount on certain items 2 for 1.
Please don't boss me around
A very busy and typical HK-style cafe. Been here in the past and they do have some good dishes (as well as some that aren't). Dropped by for breakfast one day and it was hopping with all the tables full up. They offer a variety of dishes including the unbelievably good pineapple bun BLT. Amazingly crispy bacon and a good overall BLT (although a bit heavy-handed with the mayo). Congee was ok. But the steamed beef rice roll was a bit too basic for my liking. Update: Been coming here more recently because their breakfast menu is pretty good and food turns out quite well. Ordered their protein choice combo (which lets you pick the kind of meat, eggs, toast) and added the noodle soup for a couple of bucks. Very good value. The pan-fried chicken steak was juicy and meaty and I got it with ham, eggs, and French toast. The beef satay in noodle soup was tender too. Quite a bit of food. The Chinese donut rice rolls were ok too.
It’s a bit pricey but that’s Vancouver and inflation for ya. Proper Hong Kong style cafe food with good items and… not so good items. Service is well, cha chaan tang style. Hustle hard and sometimes avoid hard lol. Can’t blame the service staff sometimes you got 5 things in your head, a lineup, and people wanting to pay their bills. I usually do more take outs from this place rather than dine in. It’s crazy busy here. I never tried their breakfast here. I heard that’s where they shine the most apparently? Everybody knows this location as “the old Binos use to be. Next to 7-11. On Kingsway and Joyce.” Recommendations are the lobster noodles
Good food with good portions. The price is acceptable. We will come back.
We had beef steam rice rolls, beef shank noodle soup, chicken & mushroom congee and some Chinese donuts. Their food is still good like the first time I tried 6yrs ago, at a reasonable price. There's a parking lot at the rear. The only issues are staff sometimes missed our ordered dish and they don't take credit cards, cash & debit only.
Price is reasonable & the portion is good.
Went there with a bunch of hiking friends. It was a busy Sunday night. The food was really good, but the service was even better. The only slight negative is that they do not serve alcohol. Overall an amazing experience.
