Hanara Sushi and Grill

A not-so-hidden gem! The sashimi and nigiri were absolutely delicious, some of the best cuts of fish I've had in town. The combo I got was very generous for $40 after tax (before tip): 5 pieces of nigiri, 9 pieces of sashimi, and a salmon roll. Much more generous cuts of fish than most places in town and beautiful nigiri. It's seemingly a mom and pop operation, and the care they put into the food really shows. Bonus - we tried the house made kimchi and its really amazing! I'll be back next time I'm craving sushi! They also very kindly brought us slices of ice cream cake from Amy's next door to celebrate my friend's birthday. They also have a really good food safety rating! Dietary restrictions: They have tamari for people with gluten allergies or celiac disease

Best sushi I have had in Austin for this price. Really nice staff, fresh fish, and a cute atmosphere we order the sushi deluxe (pictured), crab puff (made with real crab), and the edamame. I would recommend!

I think Hanara's sushi chef is one of the top chef around here. He is super cool and his works are amazing. The lady owner is also very friendly and caring and provides excellent fishes for the chef. Food, price and everything else is excellent. However, just be aware. It is a very small place. No issue if you are by your self or 2 or 4 but party greater than 4, i highly recommend calling in advance to see if they have a table available for you.

I go here all the time for lunch and often try new items on the menu. Without failure it is always good. The staff is nice and efficient. The only thing I will say is there is limited seating but if the weather is nice I typically sit outside where there is more seating for the rest of the stores at the arboretum. Delightfully surprised! The area of town where this is located is a not where you would expect such good quality sushi, maybe I am biased, willing to admit it. We ordered some sushi and kitchen menus, were really impressed with everything we got. Family owned business and they are all so kind. Thank you for giving us good memory.
