Hamamori Restaurant and Sushi Bar

The best sushi place in OC. Everyone we've recommended this place to have all agreed. Friends who had excellent sushi in Hawaii even said Hamamori is better. Another friend drives from LA for his sushi fix. The fish is fresh, buttery, and just melts in your mouth. Even their teriyaki bowls (for kids) are great quality. I don't pay the bill, but I've been told the prices are very reasonable. Don't let the poshness of South Coast Plaza scare you away. If you love sushi, you have to try Hamamori.

Been going here for 5 years and it has gone down hill since the pandemic. My last three visits were a huge disappointment Fish is not as fresh as it used to be, preparation of sushi was not up to par and appetizers from the kitchen were awful. I will not be patronizing this restaurant any longer.
