Great food great little hidden gem one of the best Caribbean restaurant
Very pretty set up and good food.
First time based on reviews and it “DELIVERED”. The “Believe” stew should be called “BELIEVER” because once you taste, you’ll become one. Their featured item is their “Ox Tail” bowl. It was incredible (great flavor and “falling of the bone” tender). Staff were super friendly and it was getting crowded so come early. Can’t wait to try the pockets.
A lovely place with delicious food. The service was friendly and the food was amazing. We ordered a large serving of their Believe Stew to go, it was that good (and it comes on most of the dishes on this menu). Generally Caribbean, they have a wide variety of salads, bowls, and tacos. Definitely worth trying their menu here. This faces a parking lot that is extremely busy. Looking for parking at some times of day might be difficult.
This place is amazing . Food is always good . Customer service is always warm and attentive . Always a good experience here. Props to GF
This place is absolutely 11/10 amazing. The customer service (shout out to Taralynn/sorry if I spelled that wrong) is incredible, the food is so well put together and thought of (not to mention so so delicious) and the vibes are so chill and comforting. We went here in December 2022 and then back again today and the food was as good as we remember. We'd come here every single day if we didn't live in an entirely different state, and make it a MUST VISIT whenever we do end up traveling to California (usually for Disneyland). I'm not one to normally do reviews or anything like that, but this place deserves the shout out and love. Please if you're considering coming here: DO IT. Do it now, do it yesterday, and just have a good time. You won't regret it.
The food is freshly cooked and tastes great. It is a bit more pricey than you would expect. I ordered takeout even though I have walked past this restaurant many times. I had the salmon coquette bowl and it was excellent. The jerk sauce was awesome.
I've been a long-time fan of Grilled Fraiche since 2016 when they were still rolling around in a food truck. Grilled Fraiche is a Black-owned Cali-Caribbean cuisine. They have a large selection of vegan and halal meals. I first met them at the California African American Museum during an exhibition opening party. The owner, Peace, was running around back then and he's still running the place today! I'm so happy that he went from a food truck to three locations. I've been to the South LA location and finally Long Beach. The food is delicious and fresh. We ordered the vegan crab cakes, Cajun onion rings, chicken street tacos, chicken garlic noodles with vegan dream sauce, and bread pudding. The vegan crab cake has a good texture and flavor. I love the Cajun onion rings, very flavorful. The chicken garlic noodles are very garlicky (in a good way) and buttery. The bread pudding was really good and I need to get more of that! That fried plantain still hit the spot, too. Please come support them at this restaurant! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and halal options.
