When you are able to eat your meal before you are able get your drink. They took my drink order before I sat down. I normally get it comped as an Elite status but had to pay today. NOT AGAIN.
Very impressed! We’ve done a lot of buffets in Vegas…expensive & usually all you can stand food. So I had low expectations going into it. We visited on a Saturday, about 2pm. Price was $25 per person. But, we had points and player comps…final price $18 total…for both of us. Sweet! Saturday at 2pm, it was busy but not crowded. It is spacious so easy to get to each section. First round- salad bar. The have the typical weedy mix but also the lettuce mix I prefer. All the fixings included + jalapeños… it was good. Second round - chicken fried steak, smoked brisket, Mac n cheese CFS - 6.5 score, not bad for a buffet Smoked brisket - 7.5 good and I did seconds Mac n Cheese- 4.5 just ok Dessert was Blue Bell vanilla & strawberry dip. You can’t screw that up… 10.0 I’d go back in a heartbeat. My tastebuds lean to the meat & potato’s….I’d eat here over Bacchanal buffet any time.
On Friday Feb 23, 2024 we went to the buffet at Winstar. We arrived around 10:25 pm. While we were dining, a woman named Ann Marie stopped me at the Asian section and asked, "You got the receipt?" I replied, "What receipt?" I've been dining here for about five years, and no one has ever asked me for a receipt before. Is it appropriate to approach a customer like that and ask for a receipt? She informed my husband that it's part of her job. She is the supervisor for the night shift, but does that mean she can do whatever she wants, or is her job to embarrass people, especially Asian women like myself? She asked me and then proceeded to ask my husband, but no one else around us. I paid for what I ate; I did not ask for anything free or dine without paying. It was an embarrassing situation for us, especially in public. We asked our server, whose name is Anakin Moore, what was happening with her. He apologized to us because he knew she was wrong. She should not have approached us like that in front of others. Most of the servers at the buffet restaurant know us because we treat them with respect and friendliness. We hope she learns from someone else soon about how to handle this situation properly.
The establishment boasts a splendid array of culinary delights, each characterized by their freshness and superior quality. The turtle cheesecake, in particular, was a delectable indulgence. Additionally, Thursday evenings are dedicated to the celebration of Crab Night, a compelling incentive to savor a memorable dining experience. Furthermore, the prices are commendably reasonable, making this establishment an unequivocal destination for those seeking an exquisite gastronomic adventure.
Clean, fast, friendly service. The food was great for a buffet. They have an Asian, Mexican, Italian, American, salad, and dessert section. My favorite was the shrimp stir fry and the delicious cheese cakes. The only thing missing was French fries.
Ever since they took away the King crab option at this buffet , it seems like the quality of everything else has gone down hill . We have hit this place up a few times and last week was the final blow. The food was just terrible and the options were very limited . The only bright side still present from the heyday of this place is the outstanding service that partially makes up for the lack of enthusiasm that lines the buffet trays . Bring back the Kings and quality offerings and then charge appropriately, your customer will pay for this premium choices .
If I could give the food zero stars I would. The food was disgustingly cold, bland, and SUPER old! We paid $21 per person and I wouldn't even pay $10 for this. A knock off Chinese buffet would be 10,000 times better than this horrible buffet. The desserts are good in terms of flavor and nice selection but was also old, crusty, and stale. The service wasn't great because of how huge the place is, our server was running around everywhere and being no where in particular. The atmosphere is great, looks beautiful and clean but you come here to eat. The food is trash. I highly recommend you try something else. It was a huge disappointment for me and my family, especially for the world's biggest casino...what a joke!
