Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

Honestly, I usually go to the Elk Grove location. This is my first time at this one and so my surprise it was actually better. Way more choices. Very clean and the waitresses and everybody working here were so nice and helpful. Special thanks to our waitress Alisha who had so many tables but still took care of everyone including our large party. Her service was top tier.

Man I hate leaving bad reviews but here we are. Not the cleanest place to eat at. I'm easy to please but my wife and daughter were not impressed. Lot's of unattended bad kids leaving a mess after they serve themselves, I know that's not Golden Corral's fault but they do need to enforce the rules more. My wife was making a salad and noticed the lady cleaning the area but then her rag dipped in the salad dressing so that was gross, however, the staff is friendly. This could be a good place but like I said, the rules need to be enforced more, if bad parents are going to let their bad kids run around not caring while they stuff their pie holes then maybe they shouldn't be welcomed because it makes the place look messy and dirty.

The only thing I liked was the fried catfish and shrimp. Besides that, the vegetables were not fresh and delicious and the meat at the carving stations were dry and unappealing. Next time, I will do a walk through before purchasing the food.

I read the bad reviews but I like to get my own experience. For the price and it being an all you can eat buffet, it was very good. The food was hot and fresh, even at 2:00 in the afternoon when we went. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. The food was tasty and a lot to choose from. Now the only thing that could have been better is the clam chowder. Don't get me wrong, it was very tasty, but thin. If it was thicker and creamy, it would have been darn good. We will be back, for sure, maybe for dinner.

Very affordable and such a good assortment of choices. Eating out has gotten so expensive, it's nice to have a place to still enjoy a meal out together.
