I have lived here for over a decade and today was my first time here. The food was ON POINT! Carne Guisada was the most tender I’ve had. The chicken especial enchiladas were flavorful and the charros reminded me of home! Definitely the best Tex-mex around. The only con was pricing was a little steep for my liking but it was worth every penny!

Fajitas are amazing and they give you two icecream scoops of guac!!!

I've been coming here for years. In fact, my father actually built the place turning it from the old feed store to what it is now. The staff is awesome and eclectic. Probably some of the last remaining real south Austinites left. I love the quesadilla plate with chicken al carbon (my go-to shift meal when I worked here years ago). My wife loves the fish tacos and enchiladas (cheese, steak, with Ranchero sauce). The margaritas are perfect, the salsas are awesome (I love the tomatillo - don't forget to go up to the salsa bar and replenish your favorite ones to bring back to the table). All in all, a great Austin restaurant.

Excellent food. Fast courteous, really great chips and salsa. The queso fundido is incredible.

Margaritas watery. Too much ice. Food ok. Love the place.

I come here solely to watch hermosa make tortillas from scratch at the bar….it’s always delicious.
