We decided to check out Freebirds on National Burrito Day. Because of increased demand I guess, they were out of cheese. I'm not sure if they were out of pico de gallo and fajita vegetables (grilled onions & bell peppers), or they just dont carry these ingredients, but I didnt see any when we got there. I would have liked to make up these missing ingredients by getting generous portions of beans, corn & cilantro, but they seemed reluctant to spoon much on. My friend left hungry & wanting to go get a burger afterwards. I dont know about the claim "no. 1 Texas burrito" because Chipotle would beat this. Maybe on a different day when there's no special promotion going on, we'd walk away satiated & satisfied
Freebirds is great. The service here was ridiculously slow.
It was just okay. The food in the steam table looked old and dried. I had not been to Freebirds in many years and it has really gone downhill from its glory days. There were only about three other customers in the restaurant at lunch time.
No sour cream, no sauces as requested yet somehow still have a soggy burrito. They were basically empty in terms of orders so I'm baffled on the confusion. Overall waste of money
It’s an amazing establishment, the employees are so nice! But haven’t liked going as much cause of the AC, it’s hot all the time!! Sweating while eating my burrito not it. Do better.
Highly disappointed with my pickup order. I ordered a regular Freebird (black beans, white meat chicken, jalapenos, Spanish rice, and creamy jalapeno sauce on spicy cayenne tortilla) and the black beans were not fully cooked. I could feel the beans popping in my mouth. Somethings can be ignored but this was ridiculous. I just picked at the burrito and never finished it. Also, my spouse picked up the food and said the facility looked closed because the chairs were already put up and it had a dark ambiance. I guess someone was trying to go home. Definitely will not be going back.
