Folk's Folly Prime Steak House

This was our first time. The crab cake appetizer was amazing but it was only 2 for $22. Neither one of our steaks were cooked correctly. I ordered mine medium and my husband ordered his medium rare. We should have sent them back but they were still good and not tough. They do have very good cuts of meat. All of the sides were just “good.” Nothing was phenomenal including the cocktails. For a $300 check I expected so much more.

Made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday. I was excited for the experience because this restaurant comes highly recommended. We were greeted immediately but the hostess stated they needed to prepare the table for a birthday dinner. This seemed strange to me because usually the table is prepared before hand but no biggie. However when we reached the table, there was no decorations. Strange but still no biggie. The waiter was awesome but the food experience was awful. Both our steak orders were incorrect. From not being cooked properly to not having to correct cut of meat. And the outside of the steak was burnt. They did try to correct but the second time around, I believe I was given a sirloin versus a filet mignon. Also, the steak was not as good as I would have expected. They did tried to compensate with a free dessert but at that point the birthday dinner was ruined. The restaurant was not that busy so I'm not sure why the food was mediocre at best. May have been an off night but definitely will not be back again.

Mediocre food with high prices compared to the quality. We had a soup, 3 appetizers, 3 main courses (with 3 sides) and one dessert. Nothing was truly bad, but nothing was great either. For the price, I would have expected more.

To me, this is the best steak restaurant in Memphis. Definitely a must try in Memphis.

Had heard such good things about this place I ordered the fried pickles as a appetizer there were only 5 small pickles they were served with nothing to dip them in my filet was good but the jalapeño Mac and cheese had no taste and was sitting in a dish of butter or oil ? We also felt rushed because our server took our drinks away before we were finished without asking and someone else kept coming by to ask if we were done eating when we clearly were not just a bad experience overall and really disappointing especially for the high price .
