We pop in occasionally for lunch. I really enjoy their patio, the bread is tasty and better than many Italian restaurants(I really think a restaurant could win over customers with an excellent bread service). I occasionally get a craving for their Capellini al Pomodoro, which is a simple angel hair with a savory yet meatless red sauce.

Vegetarian options: Love the rolled eggplant dish

Sono italiano, nato e cresciuto in Italia. Questo posto è un insulto alla cucina italiana e del mondo intero. A cominciare dal menù, ma non li avevate proprio $50 per pagare un Italiano di settima generazione per farvi correggere le varie “salsiccie” e “fungi”? Vogliamo parlare di crabcake tradotto come “granchio torta”? E poi i piatti. La carbonara ha panna, prosciutto, piselli e cipolla. Ma davvero? Il resto sono tutti piatti con una montagna di aglio, secchi di salsa e vomitate di formaggio fuso. Ho cercato di limitare i danni e ho ordinato i rigatoni al forno. Purtroppo c’era poco da fare e facevano schifo. Il resto della tavolata ha preso melanzane alla parmigiana, unta e bisunta in un lago di salsa, con pasta di accompagnamento e fagiolini. Personale ok. Locale da schiaffi con orribili murales di Firenze. Poi mi chiedono perché non frequento ristoranti italiani a San Diego…

We had a lovely meal with friends at this beautiful restaurant. That atmosphere was so welcoming and cozy, and the food was absolutely delicious. The portions were large and the service spot on.

Best Lasagna ever! Will never have it anywhere else! Everything is top notch! The owner is awesome too!

A very reliable, serviceable, comfortable restaurant with very good food. Try the chicken meatballs at the bar and the eggplant rollatini in the dining room.
