Emilio's Ballato

We were disappointed with the food. We were hoping at least one of the dish would have stood out to us. But none was spectacular. We really wanted to like this place..but the shrimp linguine was sour not sure if they overdid it with the lemon sauce? The prices were steeped too..$38 for a plate of linguine that didn’t meet standard was disappointing. we had better linguine that costs less! Wanted to send it back but decided not to. We were thinking about taking family there but not sure anymore due to underwhelming dishes.

Probably best Italian meal I’ve had outside of Florence.

I’m sad to have to say it’s just not worth the hype at allllllllll to me. I don’t know if it’s because they know they’re hyped up so they don’t feel the need to cater to people, or they only care when famous people come in, but the older woman waitresses the least accommodating/lazy/rude and couldn’t care less other than to just take your order cause she has to. There’s no ambiance, and you just feel like the least important person in the room even though you’re a paying customer. My experience just was not enjoyable and i won’t be recommending/ be returning

However, amidst the culinary delights, the luster of the experience was tarnished by a disappointing encounter at the entrance. Despite the culinary brilliance within, the service rating is diminished to one star due to the discourteous and unprofessional demeanor of the door attendant. His abrupt and dismissive attitude, reminiscent more of a bouncer than a hospitality professional, marred the initial impression of the esteemed restaurant. His lack of clarity regarding entry procedures, coupled with his disregard for basic courtesy while indulging in personal activities, fell short of the hospitality standards expected from an establishment of Emilio's Ballato's stature. In conclusion, while the culinary offerings at Emilio's Ballato are undeniably commendable, the subpar service experience at the entrance detracts from the overall dining experience. It is my sincere hope that the management promptly addresses these service shortcomings to ensure that every aspect of the guest experience reflects the excellence synonymous with the culinary delights of Italy.

Here’s all I have to say - $11 for a takeaway cannoli. $11 for a small take away cannoli. That is insane. I was thinking it would be $5. If that’s what they charge for a single cannoli imagine how much they overcharge for wine and food. This picture cost me $22 - take away.

Number 1 Italian in the city!

I give this place 2 stars for pretty interior and tasty food but… I was expecting something really outstanding given the hype around this place. The thing that ruined the experience for us was the service. We were waited by the owner’s wife, who shouldn’t be serving people at all. She informed us that today they have calamari, so I asked if they were fried, and shockingly, she rudely started laughing at me with judgement, rolling her eyes: “Of course they’re fried! How else would they be done?” Which is not so obvious, quick googling and you can find many calamari recipes. Next, I received my pasta, then my boyfriend received his chicken after a longer while so I had to either wait and get my meal cold or eat alone while he looks at me eating. Only after he received his chicken, our calamaris arrived which were supposed to be our starter! Also, there was only a wine menu, so we asked if there was some missing menu with soft drinks/ drinks and she said, with a huge attitude, turned to us almost with her whole back, that people at the bar will do anything we want. And guess what, we asked for campari with orange juice and they were making huge fuss about it saying they don’t have OJ and they gave us some other drink without even checking if we want to choose something else. To be honest, the service ruined our whole experience, it’s not worth spending so much money on a place that’s so mediocre. I almost started to wonder if they bought the pictures with celebrities just so they could lure the people in.

Everything about this place is amazing! It’s definitely worth the wait, the food, the staff and the atmosphere is definitely one to brag about! If you’re ever around the area, I would definitely recommend trying them out!
