A Hoboken staple. The food is always good. Drinks are great. A great place to bring people from out of town. Kid friendly. I always enjoy my time at Elysian!
Kid-friendliness: I think on Tuesdays kids eat free.
French onion soup, chicken sandwich and the impossible burger were tasty. Fries were the standout. Unfortunately the service was really disappointing. The waitress never came by to check on us after the food arrived. We had to go up to order more fries and also to get the check.
From the moment we walked in to Elysian, we were hooked. The historic decor/architecture inside really set a fun atmosphere. As we were admiring the walls and ceilings the manager approached us and started telling us some of the history. He was as nice and as friendly as could be. He highly recommended the poutine and it did not disappoint. All of the other food we ordered was delicious and the other wait staff was nice and friendly as well. If you want delicious food for a good price in a old style restaurant with an authentic atmosphere and friendly people, then this is the place you're looking for.
Great brunch place! We have been there on multiple occasions as large group, couple, family with young kids and always have a great experience. The owner is very accommodating and the food is delicious.
Went here for dinner a couple nights ago and it was the best food I’ve had in a while. We got the mussels and poutine as appetizers, the mussels are a must get, very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The skirt steak was my favorite, the chicken and gnocchi were also good. All of the food tasted fresh and well made, the staff were friendly and the overall interior was cozy and inviting.
Went there for brunch on a Sunday, the food was good. The service was bit slow.
Food was more like an average diner. Service and atmosphere were great!
