Perhaps I went on a bad day because the only thing worse than the coffee was the barista’s attitude. Actually both people working seemed really annoyed to have customers. The coffee just tasted watered down yet at the same time extremely bitter.

The short version: El Porton is a wonderful place with an inviting atmosphere, delicious craft coffee and great bites. The long version: We absolutely love this neighborhood gem - and are so grateful it's a short walk from our house. The owners Bruno and Isabelle are the most kind and hospitable hosts and quickly learned our names and our kids' names, making it a favorite family outing. The atmosphere is wonderful for a relaxing solo trip, working remotely, or meeting a friend. The reservable conference room is great for taking meetings, too. And the coffee is truly delicious, sourced from their home country of El Salvador. They also source delicious pastries and food items from local makers that have never disappointed (breakfast burritos are amazing!) Highly recommend!

Probably one of my favorite coffee shops in DFW. It’s such an amazing experience every time I go.

Iced Taro Latte with Oatmilk! Just do it, order it! It was my first visit to this cute spot and I'll be back to try the empanadas with my coffee.. they smelled amazing!

The coffee was fantastic. We sat at the bar area and conversed with the barista Nick. He was very passionate about coffee and provided great service and conversation about coffee roasting and brewing.

Such a sweet family run coffee spot with a Venezuelan flavor. Lovely service and a relaxed vibe.
