Drift Kitchen & Bar

We came to the Hutchison Island Shores Resort for Spring Break, this hotel is very expensive but it is beach front and new so it was worth it for us to pay it. The Restaurant: I would say one star is too high of a rating. The customer service is awful, the wait is unreal (at LEAST an hour and a half before any food was brought out), we actually saw a few tables leave without eating because they were waiting so long, our appetizer came after we finished eating our entrees, and we had to ask for our Mojito drinks several times. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends or enemies either. The only thing worth a 5-star rating is the beach which is here by default and free.

We were seated and received zero service for 30minutes. We left to go to Seaside Cafe down the road and loved it.

My wife and I both ordered the filet mignon medium rare. Both came out medium to well. I ate mine, she sent hers back. The second one was cooked more than the first. The chocolate cheese cake had no chocolate in it and was not creamy at all. So they comped my wife's steak. The bill comes and it's $132. Their suggested 20% tip is $32. According to my calculations 20% of 132 is $26.40 . Don't think we'll be going back.

Was looking forward to finally going today and what a huge disappointment. We were told we were unable to order food for 20 minutes due to staffing issues with the kitchen as soon as we came up to the hostess. We opted to sit at the bar and watched other patrons order and were served food at the bar who were seated after us. We attempted to order and the bartender said he was unable to take our order. Left immediately and spent or money elsewhere. So many places to go , I will never go back to Drift!

Yvonne was our waitress and she was so helpful and knowledge about the menu. Lobster bisque was so full of lobster,delicious.. the pasta with the broccoli was amazing, and the club sandwich just as good. So happy we went.

We went there for my 60th birthday and was excited to get outside seating on the ocean. It was nice but for the amount of money you pay just simply didn't live up to it. $50 for a steak that was overcooked. We had to send it back. Beautiful views, service spot on but food meh!
