Food and atmosphere is quite good, so I do recommend giving it a go. However, be careful regarding the jukebox. Management will sometimes skip over songs that you play just so they can play their own awful top 40/rap/pop garbage. If you interrupt their current songs with any kind of classic rock/hard rock, or anything else that management doesn't approve of personally, it might be interrupted. Sadly, it happened to me more than once, the second time with no offer of giving me my money back, which could've been the least they could do since I have no control, and they have full control over the jukebox. Just a simple, hey, here's your $5 back could've saved me from having to leave this review, or at least this part of the review, but unfortunately I was met with arrogance when I politely called them out on it. But once again, this is a good place to watch sports and eat some good food for the type of bar venue that it is. If you could care less about the jukebox, as a foodie, I still recommend this establishment. ...

Manager and bar staff were super friendly! I ordered the Cajun wings and it was pretty good. Also, tried my friend’s key lime pie and it was pretty good too. I want to come back and try their seafood items.

Absolutely loved their food! I wish I lived here so I could eat it more often! Great atmosphere, wonderful service, and the Crawfish is absolutely delicious! 10/10 recommend. Also I wouldn't pay too much mind to the negative reviews because people love to complain about anything.

Normally I got to the one in Rockwall but I decided to try this one instead. They do their food differently than the one in Rockwall. I ordered a spinach dip and this is how they brought it to me. Very watery!! I sent it back with all of the food that I had ordered. I recommend going to the one in Rockwall but I’ll never come to this place again.

Dr Pepper was flat and too sweet. The food was subpar and our waitress was not friendly. Not very happy with our experience today.

We were in just after lunch on a Tuesday. We hadn’t been in to Dodie’s since before the pandemic. I’m pleased to see it is still operating. But, the food was not good today. The boiled shrimp appetizer was incredibly overcooked and tough. The pretzel appetizer was hard. The server was not happy to see us, and not at all attentive to us, even though they weren’t terribly busy. When our entrees were served, it was pretty apparent that they had been sitting for a good while. And to top things off, our server neglected to bring our slaws and salad. Not the best experience we have had at a place that was once in our top 5 favorite places to eat. Lesson learned. Don’t go in after lunch. Wait until dinner. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Our grandson had to sit in our laps as no highchair was offered.
