Crumbl - Houghton Town Center

Love this spot. My Husband Kids& I can’t get enough of these delicious cookies. I love the atmosphere the whole staff team is nice.

I was observing the girl behind the counter as my daughter went into get the cookies and noticed she was cross-contaminating her unchanged gloved hands, with the cookie box, with the door to the cookies, with the cookie she actually put on her gloved hand to put into the cookie box, with the sprinkles that go on top of the cookies, with a dirty rag that she wiped her hands with over and over. I observed this through three customers not one time did she change her gloves. I made a complaint to the owner and he assured me that they work closely with the health department and they are not violating anything regarding cross-contamination because they sanitized throughout the day. I then had my daughter ask her culinary teacher and he told me this is cross-contamination. And because of that I reported them to the health department because it seems that the owner nor the two workers behind the counter cared that they were cross-contaminating because they cleaned regularly. I will post a copy of the email that I sent to the owner and the responses I got.
