Did a Saturday "Cafe" stop and picked up cake slices and strawberry scone. Best scone I've had in a VERY long time. Each cake flavor was very good and was a great blend of flavors. I'm grateful they open their doors once a week to allow everyone to experience such delicious treats.
My birthday cake was delicious! The cake was very moist and not super sweet but just the right amount of sweetness. It was perfect!
Best cakes in DFW for my money. Always worth the drive for us.
Amazing team and always makes the best cakes! I try to order them for any special occasion. The cakes are loved by all of the family and friends.
Very niche type of cake. The texture is dry almost like what you expect from a tea or coffee cake. Or maybe a biscuit. Very crumbly. Not moist. It is lightly sweetened similar to white bread. I got champagne raspberry. I tasted no champagne, vanilla, or butter. Same in the icing. Very bland lackluster flavor profile. I’m confused by the reviews. Maybe this bakery is more health focused opposed to gourmet.
To be honest I started out in Love with this place. I can’t say that anymore. For a few reasons: for one they only open one day out of the week. They’ve changed their open time from 8am to 10am and within 25mins of being open are already sold out of scones!!! The other down side is they only offer one very small cup of coffee… very over priced!!! Maybe it’s just the ladies hobby which I understand but come on seriously?!?!
This place is always closed. The one time we went, it was only open for what seemed like a private party. And we were able to get a very dry rice crispy bar. Lol.
Absolutely the best cakes in town!!!! Heather is so talented in crafting not only beautiful but absolutely delicious cakes. She has been making birthday cakes for my girls for 4 years now and every year our guests are blown away by the looks and taste of these cakes!!!
I am a wedding photographer and make a point of having a slice of cake at every wedding I am at, and Crumb & Kettle has by far the very best wedding cake in the DFW area. When I recently got married, it was a no brainer who we were going to go with for our cake, and everyone raved about it. It was not dry like most wedding cake, and Crumb & Kettle uses a special olive oil frosting that is not as overly sweet as normal frosting. Photos credit: Rebecca Langford Photography
