Food is phenomenal! Good wine selections , staff is friendly. Enjoyed the experience
Really great experience - try to get a table near the kitchen. I see a lot of raving about the Gruyère fritters, but these were probably the most disappointing item we had. They’re basically mini churros with a bit hot oily cheese. I’d skip them and try some of the other starters instead. Also, the sauce with the pork katsu wasn’t great - tasted too much like a basic mayonnaise and didn’t add much. But without it, the katsu was a bit underwhelming. The sprouts were delicious. If it’s available, get the sweet potato.
Where do I even begin? We came here on Valentine's day. The restaurant was super crowded, and service was terribly slow. The cocktails were way too sweet and they skimped out on liquor. I usually am content to drink one cocktail; here I ordered 3 and barely felt a buzz. The food was a flop. One star out of five compared to reputable places like Henry's End, where they actually know how to prepare a chicken thigh without drying it out so much that you need to wash it down with the fruit punch they desperately try to pass off as cocktails at Crown Shy. We ended up not finishing all of our food, and I asked for a to go box. They told us to pick it up at the front. I waited for over 20 minutes, after which they informed us that they lost our food. $600 spent on dinner; the least they could do was to get the to-go box right, but they couldn't even manage that. We were approached by the manager - Daisy Wither. She offered us her apologies, said to email her, and that they'd take care of us. To no one's surprise, she completely ghosted me when I tried to get in touch. Honestly, I'm not even mad. I'd pay $600 to NOT to eat their mediocre chicken again.
A great food experience. Everything had nuanced flavors and well thought out dishes. Music choice was interesting (early 2000s hip hop) but didn't mind that. The ambiance was very cool. My only comment is that our waitress was great, but her demeanor noticeably changed after we requested the resturant week menu. Otherwise service was outstanding! Would go back to try out their cocktails (they looked very interesting)
Had a party at this location…. Food and service was very good.
Loved every moment of my dinner experience here. ORDER THE GRUYÈRE FRITTERS!
