They catered a lunch for us at work and it was my first time hearing of them or having their food. Delicious!!!
My review is based on this visit only. I am a salt-aholic and usually a Crafts chicken fan, but the chicken I bought today was WAY TOO SALTY, even for this salt-aholic!!! I hate that I bought a whole chicken for family supper tonight. Could barely eat it, but I did because I live in Fultondale and was not about to go back because it was rush hour. It was apparently the batter. Worst chicken I have ever had. Apparently, after reading other reviews, the salt has been an issue many times. Horrible
Delicious chicken, tasty weird potatoes!
2ndtime fried chicken has tasted bad too greasy
I had the 4 tender meal with fried okra and a biscuit. Biscuit and okra were very good. The tenders would have been delicious consistecy-wise, but they were so salty that they were not edible. The person I dined with agreed. We joked hat the salt lid had to have come off as they were adding it to the breading mix and they just kept going. The person I dined with also had the 4 tender meal with fries and the fries were great. Not sure what happened with the chicken, but disappointed since that's what we came for.
This was our first time eating at Craft's since we're new to the area. Delicious! So good that we came back the next day. The food was piping hot and the chicken bites are the best I've ever had. Finally someone made them with high quality white meat with no yucky surprises (well trimmed away from the bone. IYKYN. The fries are cut in a most unusual shape and very crunchy on the outside, tender & fluffy on the inside. I chose ranch as my dip and it is made fresh - my favorite kind. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and in the cutest part of Mountain Brook. If you've never been, I can 100% recommend a visit. Parking: We didn't have any problems during either visit, but from what I could gather, it's street parking in a cute village style walkable shopping area. It could become more challenging on weekends and weeknights in the summer. Several handicapped spaces right in front of the location, van friendly.
