There server seemed to be doing all she could to keep up. Maybe cut down on the area the server has to cover, to better service the customer.
Best fried chicken I've ever tasted.
Love our visits to Cracker Barrel!
Wonderful customer service by our Table server. She was delightful and kept asking us if we needed anything.
There were only one waitress no hostess. Only two people in front of is to be seated and Manger put us on wait list We left.. so did see real behind us
You gotta love Cracker Barrel! Good service and food
Oh my gosh, I was so disappointed in this visit!!! I was later told this Cracker Barrel has gone downhill in customer service since I lived in the area. I met a friend and her son for lunch. We were shown to our table quickly and two different ladies came by - gave us menus, brought ONE round of drinks (never were checked on again), our food, and eventually a box for my friend and the bill. Food was great, but my friend ended up drinking my water because no one checked on us, and her son could not get anyone's attention to refill his tea). We needed extra napkins as well. Overall the food was well prepared and tasted great. The bill came and I took it. My friend is in a wheelchair, and it was about to rain, so she and her son went ahead and left. I shopped for a few minutes then paid the bill and for my few items. I was going to give a tip in cash, and leave it with the cashier, but she threw the ticket away since I didn't want to add the tip to my card and said she couldn't tell which one was mine to look at our waitress's name. So, I took the cash and found the two ladies who had minimally helped us plus a third lady huddled behind the first large round table in the dining room past the hostess' stand laughing and talking. I handed a generous tip (although not deserved) the the one who had been at our table twice during our meal. I left the restaurant and went down the longer side of the porch, my car was parked on the side of the building. I kid you not, the other lady chased me down calling "ma'am, ma'am!". I thought I had forgotten something on the counter. She proceeded to tell me I had given the tip to the wrong person - the hostess. She said the hostess should not have gotten a tip, they don't receive tips. She said the hostess refused to give it to her and wanted me to come back in and tell the hostess I'd made a mistake and make sure she (lady who came outside) got the tip. I apologized for my error, but did not want to go back in. I felt rather cornered, I have never had a confrontation like this from restaurant staff! I told her fine, let me give YOU a tip as well. I went through my purse and gave her cash as well. I left feeling really terrible about this whole situation - I will never visit this Cracker Barrel location again!
Everything was good. Only criticism would be the hostess and how slow that whole experience was.
They were out of chicken and dumplins and mashed potatoes. I ordered the gravy covered patty of mystery meat that was supposed to be chicken fried steak. Nowhere on the face of the earth would that pass as chicken fried steak. The floors were sticky too. Vegetarian options: Vegans should go somewhere else to be stupid. They could probably order the chicked fried steak. I ordered it and there is no way that was actually meat.
