My daughter and I went to Copperfish on Saturday night, the place was very busy! We asked the hostess if we could sit outside and right away she accommodated us without reservations. We sat down server comes over and It felt like she did not want to be there. She never introduced herself and was very short. We ordered a bottle of nice wine, ( they have a nice selection of wines) Fried calamari and grilled octopus. The calamari was not bad. The octopus was not up to my liking, It tasted like it was grilled frozen because water was coming out when cutting into and also very chewy. Usually I never say anything, but at this moment I felt like I should say something being an owner and the chef for 43 years of an Italian restaurant I know the way octopus should be cooked. I told the server how I felt and she said the octopus was fresh. We ordered the entrées, I got salmon and my daughter seared tuna. The presentation looked amazing and was a generous portion. I took a bite of my salmon it was so dry. Her tuna was great. We waited 20 min for the server to come back over and ask how everything was. When I told her about the Salmon she said they would make me another one, at that point I was upset, lost my appetite and wanted to leave. The only thing I enjoyed was my espresso and wine.
salad. eh bread. eh. lobster. eh. place pretends to be upscale and fine dining but not so good.
My family Celebrated my sons 29th Birthday everything was GREAT!!
John D. Was my server, he was amazing. He gave great recommendations and he was very attentive. The food was great and the drinks were perfect. I came for dinner with my wife and daughter and they both enjoyed it as well. We will be back.
I went for a Greek night, the show was supposed to start at 8, I went at 8:30, by 9:45 the band was still setting up. The place was hot and uncomfortable, I told the waiter he just looked at me. Prices are expensive and very small portions! I went by myself, had seabass (literally 5 bites) @ $55 + 2 drinks + tip I spent $115 Spending that kind of money on a Thursday night, uncomfortable sweating and I left hungry!
Lobster special was delicious
Enjoyed a corporate lunch here. I ordered the Seared Scottish Salmon. Dude! This was delicious! Salmon cooked per chef’s recommendation. Medium. Seared and then topped with a seed variant. Looks great and tasted great. The mushrooms absorbed whatever flavor they were sautéed in, giving the entire dish an absolute brilliant burst of flavor. The vegetable was also perfectly cooked. Just a great melody of flavor in a very pleasing presentation. Atmosphere was pleasant. Sat outdoors since it was a very agreeable day here (January 2024 in South Florida). Get Some!!
