Comida at The Stanley Marketplace

Came to Comida after going to Camp Christmas. One star for convenience. A second for good service. The third is for the food which is mediocre and priced highly for Mexican. The chips & queso are decent. Some thought they needed more salt. The limeade was good. The street tacos at $6.50 per should have a second corn tortilla under to actually eat. With all of the toppings you can't hold this taco & it's not really meant for fork & knife. The quesadilla I had was fine. The shrimp they used were of average quality and for $16 I expected a bit more. The rice and beans I chose as my side was good. Overall this is a Mexican restaurant I won't plan on going to again with so many other options nearby.

Really wanted to like this place but way overpriced for the quality of food. Brunch pancakes were really dry and the topping consisted of 90% blueberry and a few sliced strawberries. Minimal syrup - no butter, powered sugar, cinnamon….nada. Service was abysmal - staff couldn’t tell me if the green chili or dirty rice were vegetarian. Traditionally both are (I grew up in Pueblo where vegetarian green chili doesn’t exist). The menu would benefit from highlighting what is vegetarian so people know and don’t have to ask wait staff….who also don’t know. I don’t plan on going back but I have high standards for restaurant mexican food as a person who grew up on Mexican food - it’s really cheap to make so the high prices should matter.

Edit* The owner responded below, fair response and I'm updating this review. Thanks for taking in the feedback and making the change! Potential customers beware! They are adding on extra fees. It's time all of us stand up against any business tacking on extra fees and service charges. I will not support this place until the extra fee's go away.

Flavor was great, portion size very good, worth trying for the food. Service wasn't terrible but certainly could have been better. I will note that the fess that many others did not appreciate were not charged on our bill. Perhaps that has changed.

The food was good.
