Absolutely brilliant gem located in Eagle Rock. I've only been to the bar but the drinks are great, the spaghetti with meatballs is DELICIOUS and the staff are absolute professionals. Tip them well.
This place is very dark even in the afternoon. There is no sunlight or any light for that matter going in the place. The booths feel tacky and sticky. The ravioli was cold as well as the sauce it was smothered in. The Cesar salad has a ton of croutons, dry chicken, and tastes like a salad you buy from the grocery store. The Colombo's sandwich is nothing special just a hard sandwich, they left a fuzzy green ball looks like from the sponge they use to scrub the dishes in my French fries. It is not good or delicious, loud and the water you can taste that they spilled soda in it. Parking: Very limited parking and becomes difficult parking in the street
I was in a large party, so I had to ask for water at least 3 times before it was brought to me
Pizza is thicker crust, so I didn't like it. Meatball sandwich was very good. Parking lot is small.
On one occasion, their zuppa di mussels gave my wife food poisoning. On another occasion, they stopped dinner service at 8 when they advertised being open to 9, and even after being informed we made a reservation and it’s my son’s birthday, turned us away. hostess is rude and incompetent, visually as well, and the owners are questionable.
I was there two weeks ago with my daughter Laura. We had a room across the street at Wellcome Inn, saw the reviews for Colombo's and wanted to try it out. A great place, with really good food and superb service. It was from a set in a Hollywood TV series or movie
