Saturday night partner is named needs to be mentioned what I forgot his name made a bomb drink deserves ten stars hotel gets five he gets ten
The food and service were outstanding! Specifically the breakfast potatos were exceptionally tasty! I ate dinner there once and had wings which were very good. All the servers were friendly and nice. I would have expected nothing less from a Hilton restaurant.
Food is adequate, the bartender and waiters need some customer service training, very slow on a very slow evening..
Wonderful wine selections and super convenient location
Good luck getting any service. It's the only restaurant at the Hilton hotel in Del Mar, so that was our only option for a quick drink before dinner, I ordered one drink & never saw the bartender again at happy hour. There wasn't one person at the bar/restaurant for a good 20 minutes. I saw 3 people leave because no one was there for a food or drink order. Not to mention, there was only one person working when we checked in at 10 pm on a Sunday night. It took 20 minutes just to do that. I won't stay here again.
When traveling, as a general rule, I find eating in local restaurants better than having dinner in the hotel. But sometimes, when I’m tired, as I was last night, I chose the convenience of the hotel. Last night ‘s late dinner at Coastal Kitchen was convenient but a bit disappointing. My wife’s chicken tasted …well…weird. Having been in France a lot recently, I was expecting pate on the charcuterie board. That was probably my fault. The salads were fine. But the best thing was the bread and butter, for which they charge extra. Hoping to have a good breakfast in a few hours.
Hotel staff said bar/restaurant was open until 11, but when we got there at 10, the bartender made it seem like they were closing soon. Then when food arrived she gave us plastic cutlery and when we asked about it it, she said all regular cutlery was dirty!!!???? Plastic cup at bar for water too. Felt like she wanted us gone.
