watery frozen margaritas. appetizers were good Kid-friendliness: there were several parties with kids accommodated during a busy dinner service
I have been coming here for a long time, and the food is absolutely delicious. My only problem now is I have been noticing the orders are getting smaller and smaller. The skirt steak used to be bigger; now it's a very small piece for that price. The drinks as well are getting weaker. What is going on? I still love the place, but portions are definitely smaller nowadays compared to before. Additionally, I was saddened to discover that the menu no longer features the mussels, a dish I had previously enjoyed.
As the new owners of Cilantro bring forth their creative ideas for a successful restaurant, I would like to thank Said for 20+ years of great service and wonderful experiences. My wife and I followed Said as he opened each location; from the 2nd Avenue location to the 79th St location, then the 71st and 1st location to the current Columbus Avenue location. Said welcomed us with open arms, treated everyone as family and took the time to engage with his customers, he is such a gracious host. Thank you for such wonderful, pleasant memories. I wish you the best on your future endeavors. To the new owners, I wish you all the success and hope to be dining with you soon. Cheers!
