Ciera Steak & Chophouse

I had a party of 7 and we decided to dine at this establishment for my 31st birthday. A few things to note, the waiter was great, but the food took over an hour and 20 minutes to be brought to our table. After my friends and I finished our meals my brother asked the restaurant staff if they provide a military discount, and the staff said yes immediately. We received the check which included the 20% gratuity. We understand with a large party like ours this is common. The problem that we saw immediately is the staff wrote in a $205 tip on the check, including total, and signed for it. Keep in mind the 20% gratuity is already included. I calmly went up to the host or manager, whom I believe was named Monica and asked why someone from her staff wrote in their own tip when gratuity was already included. Monica then proceeded to tell me that they didn't have to include the military discount and were just being nice, therefore she said they included the tip to balance the discount. I responded stating there's already a 20% gratuity included and that she wanted almost a 40% tip, considering the bill was just above $1000. Monica began yelling loudly in my face restating everything and even called me cheap. I was very calm the entire time and was honestly blown away that she was yelling at me, due to her being in the customer service industry and because it was my birthday nonetheless. My friends and I stated we were not paying a 40% tip and due to her yelling in my face we didn't feel more should be said. We signed and paid for the correct amount that we were supposed to pay. Once we left the restaurant Monica proceeded to follow us and yelled at security for them to kick us out of the casino. I'm honestly hurt that someone like this would even act this way towards people, especially on their birthday. There's a way to communicate, and certainly this was not handled properly. I would never suggest going to this place if you are in Tahoe. There are far better restaurants that will treat you with respect.

Private booth was awesome! Food was worth every penny!

Best steakhouse in Lake Tahoe. A little pricey but it’s worth it. Menu has fixed pricing for $60 or $70. Curtained private booths. No matter what dessert you order, you also get chocolate covered strawberries served over smokey dry ice. Pics here of NY strip and seafood medley

The best fine dining experience in Tahoe. The food quality is superb! The numerous awards posted at the entrance are well deserved.

Best steakhouse in the area. Crazy good service and awesome atmosphere! We've been here several times and they nail it every visit. If you go with the prix fixe menu it brings even more value to the experience. The food is always hot, perfectly seasoned, and the timing out of the kitchen is spot on. Highly recommended!

Was super impressed by our waiter Gerald, he was super friendly and service was impeccable. Steaks oysters wine and old fashions omg

I can't say enough about this place! This meal reaffirmed our faith in humanity. Wow! I have been to craft steak and Gordon Ramsay steak multiple times in top of some great steak houses in Norcal but this is the best steak house meal over all I have ever had. The chateau briand was as soft as sushi and seasoned absolutely perfectly. The veggies were cooked perfectly. The service from John and staff was incredible non protentious but attentive. The salad was dressed perfect and priced pre-covid. Best meal maybe ever definitely In the last decade. (Edit) and then we had dessert poached pear was so dynamic and delicious, and the chocolate cake was incredible as well. Will be back many times.

Really enjoyed the prix fixe menu and the drinks were good. We personally enjoyed the food and atmosphere way more then the over hyped alternative casino restaurants.

Excellent food and service. This is my wife's favorite birthday dinner spot.
