Everything was excellent. Clams and linguine were excellent. So much food. Best clam chowder ever. Bread could be better.
We live locally and find this the best spot for shell fish on the menu. Super traditional New England clam chowder. Best pricing in the area and parking validation for 2 hours, too. Worth the drive down the mountain. Shout out to excellent staff, every time.
The wait was very long, but the food was really good.
I'm rating it a five just because of the food. The rest of it is as enjoyable as taking a dip in the lake Tahoe during a winter storm. This place is one of the best value seafood stew you could find in NorCal/Reno. It packs plenty of prawns, cod, crab legs, clams, mussels, and a half lobster tail. Yummy and filling, it's hard to complain. Except for the wait, you will find a line between 5 to 9pm easily and there is no way to escape it There is no reservation! And it is a long wait (1 hour) due to management induced limited seating and fellow patrons not eating shellfish in a blazing manner. Good if you are traveling solo to fill in the social gaps, but no bueno for couples, large groups nor family. Queue up, suffer the wait, and enjoy later. Worth it overall.
WE LOVED EVERYTHING !! CRAB CAKES SHRIMP ..EVERYTHING WAS BIG N GOOD
This is technically NOT a restaurant, it’s an Oyster Bar, but it’s some of the best Louisiana style seafood I’ve ever eaten…..because it’s a bar, the wait time can easily be a 40 minute wait and even as long as a 90-120 minute wait on weekends according to a staff member—BUT WORTH IT. They serve Cioppino, gumbo, jambalaya, bouillabaisse, pan roasted lobster, crab & shrimp dish called Pan Roasted “House” that is ‘to die for.’ Clam chowder, linguine & clams and of course, the fresh oysters were also excellent. Our server Kyle was great. This is a “must go” dinner spot located inside the new Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in South Tahoe.
