1st time there. Wasnt impressed. We are from Texas and apparently so is Chuys?!.. this Isnt Tex Mex and a little different from authentic Mexican.Food was tasty and unexpected.
A different twist to Mexican food, not like your typical Mexican food. They bring you cops and salsa, but you can also request other Salsas. All but one flavor salsa is free. They range from mild to hot. This is only my third time eating here. I suggest you make a reservation, if possible. I have went at different times of the day and they are always busy. Plan to be there s while, service is a little slow.I tried 3 different dishes and all three have been great! The chicken fajitas are actually real chicken meat! They are my favorite so far.The restaurant has always been clean, to include the restrooms. The prices are a little more than your typical Mexican restaurant but this isn't typical Mexican food. Overall, I gave it a 4 out of five four this area.
A very good Tex-Mex restaurant
A taste of Austin in Huntsville AL
45 minute wait for a table on a Friday night is about average for a popular restaurant in Huntsville. What isn’t acceptable is the poor level of service. Whether understaffed or inexperienced, waiting an equivalent amount of time for food to arrive just takes the fun out the experience. We filled up on chips and salsa while waiting so the food went untouched and right into the to-go boxes. They’ve been open long enough now so they should have their act together but it’s apparent they don’t. It’s trendy so people seem to be putting up with it but next time my wife has a taste for Mexican food, I’ll be reminding her of what seems to happen every time we go to chuys and vote for Rosie’s instead.
1st time visitor, wasn't a huge fan of the food but the service was awesome. We had the chic who looked like Rosie the riveter.
A great place to go for margs and tex-mex! The wait staff are great here and it's just as good as the one back in Austin
A 2 hour wait? I could have driven to the ones in Franklin or Birmingham in that time. Not sure who disappoints me more; a casual restaurant with a 2 hour wait or the amount of people willing to stand and wait that long.
