I've been eating here for well over 20 years and it's my favorite ramen spot in San Diego. The staff are always friendly and genuine, and the meals are hearty and delicious. Parking: This is a popular spot, and during peak hours finding parking can sometimes be a challenge, but there is almost always space to be found in the rear parking lot. Generally speaking parking is convenient.
Ambience is simple but nice and clean, we went there in a busy Sunday and got seated right after 5min ish. Service was good but food was OK. As a ramen & guioza big fan I can tell there’s so many other places that are better flavor wise on those items! I didn’t try anything else so maybe I’ll be back for another shoot in the sushi menu.
From the slide open door to the service this place was fantastic for some Japanese comfort foods and sushi.
Very good food and great ramen. We tried this cute place out for the first time and we loved it!!’
Cozy spot I used to go to all the time, came back for the first time in a while and it was grim, warm broth, cold meat, undercooked egg, broth left a bad aftertaste in my mouth, could not finish it no matter how hungry I walked in. Just don’t understand what I paid for at that point because it wasn’t good ingredients or the gas that heats the food. I’d say it’s probably worth trying anything on their menu probably other than the ramen since I have good memories of those but when it comes to the soup noodles just go anywhere else in the area, same-ish price for an indescribably better meal. And it’s probably hot too!
Chef’s kiss! Food was 10/10! I left very pleasantly surprised after ordering the Mabo & Curry rice and the salmon roll. Both the meal and the sushi were super delicious, fresh and arrived quickly after ordering even though the place was packed. I’ll definitely be heading back soon to try the Ton Katsu Don meal and try more of their sushi. Super worth it, you won’t regret coming here. Parking is a little hard but that’s valid for the whole area. Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options.
