I LOVE this place. It also has meaning to us as we celebrated our engagement with their best cake (in my opinion) Fudgey Wudgey! We decided to have that cake for our elopement a year later. There was a little miscommunication with the cake and when I expressed that to Lisa, she went above and beyond to correct it. This restaurant values their customers and I can’t recommend it enough. 10/10 all around.
Fabulous cafe with delicious food and treats.
Good food - the homemade chicken salad sandwich is delicious. For a small restaurant their menu is really expansive and they also have a bar. Highly recommend the strawberry cake. Moist and icing was not overly heavy. Cheesecake was good but nothing spectacular. Homemade Buckeyes are a deal at $1 each and chocolate covered strawberries are huge. Be prepared for a parking challenge. Lot is small and awkward and you'll probably have to park on street. Make sure to pay attention to no parking signs.
I haven’t been to the chocolate cafe in over a decade, since I rented in Grandview. I suggested meeting a work connection for coffee here and it was wonderful! Same amazing treats I remember but such an expanded food and beverage menu! We arrived at 9 to only a few people and by 10 a line was forming. Highly recommend!
I think the place is great but some of the customer service it’s very low more professional should be in the customer service cashier we all human beings I hope this change the attitude of the customer service of this chocolate Café. trust me this is the first time and the last time.
This place is a chocolate wonderland! The ambiance is fantastic right off the bat- they were decorated for Valentine's Day when we went and they obviously went all out! Despite the full parking lot, there were tables open and they were diligent about cleaning them as they opened up. The menu is expansive, sprawling across the back wall with a variety of Sundays, regular sandwiches and coffee (normal cafe stuff) and cocktails! We go the key lime pie, the lemon berry mascarpone, and the fudgy wudgy. They were all delicious, with the fudgy wudgy and the lemon berry cake being the standouts. We also got champagne and let me tell you, that was a generous pour. If you're in town, I would definitely stop in for dessert!!
There's only been one time when I went and the cashier had an attitude but I tried not to let that ruin the experience. The food has always been delicious and prepared well. I recommend the black bean burger. It's very flavorful. I plan on going here and trying everything on the menu that I can honestly. The atmosphere is very cute and quaint. It's also perfect that they have a sweets bar. After you're stuffed with good food you can make room for some delicious chocolate, ice cream or cake! Food is 10/10. Atmosphere is 9/10. Service depending on the day can be 10/10 or in the case of that one day 8/10. overall, it's a very good place and I would recommend for a chill hangout spot.
This was my first time trying this place, and I will definitely be coming back. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was amazing. Also, bonus is they don't cheap out on their to go containers, I dropped the soup in the parking lot and it did not pop open!
An amazing cafe with amazing food and a warm atmosphere. I ordered the cookie monster, mocha, butterscotch hot coco, macaron, Oreo cheesecake, Italian panini, chai, the Caesar salad wrap and the Nutella hot coco to share with friends All of it was amazing! I recommend the butterscotch hot coco and Caesar salad wrap so much. The Caesar salad wrap was crispy, crunchy and warm. The chicken was well seasoned and the vegetables were fresh. It had Parmesan with an amazing cheese pull. A good portion with chips for only 11. The hot coco was a nice sip as well. Their chai wasn't as spiced as I prefer but classic. In total it was about 60 and it was well spent. Will be coming back for their brunch. A nice local place to support with delicious food.
