I ordered pizza take out and was disappointed. We drove a decent distance to try a different place, and we couldn’t recommend this place to anyone. We ordered 3 pizzas, and they all were equally disappointing. The outside of each was burnt, yet the inside of the dough was still gooey so it didn’t cook through at their high heat. The dough tasted similar to cardboard despite the gooey center. As I’m writing this, I bit into the cardboard pizza box to verify that I’m not exaggerating, and behold, it’s the same flavor as the crust. The pizza sauce was mediocre, but not enough to elevate the discrepancies. My wife was particularly irked by the pickled jalapeños they placed on the pizza, and kept stating, “I could have just tossed these on myself!” This wasn’t the worst pizza I’ve ever had, but I wouldn’t ever come back.
Love my Chicago Deep Dish. This place is good for San Diego. I would have given 5 stars but there was only one server to do all the work, on a Friday night. Slow serves at the bar because she was to busy taking phone calls. Kid-friendliness: They have board games to keep kids busy.
