Chiba Japanese Restaurant

Very tasty! Everything is very fresh. Lots of tables and great service. Parking is difficult especially during weekday lunch. Pricing is a little steep but you don't mind since everything else is on point.

I have nothing but good things to say about Chiba! I’ve been going to Shig’s for about 30 years now and it feels like home when I walk in. Shig serves the freshest most tasty sushi in Los Angeles. His sauces and marinades are perfectly matched to each serving. I know people that drive up from OC to have a meal. None batter IMHO

This place gets packed within 30 minutes after it opens. Never seen so many sushi chefs. Goes to show you they are that busy! And that good!

Service was horrible. Food took about 55 minutes to arrive after ordering. During that wait, the waiter didn't come check up on us even once. I had to talk to manager who offered to give us complimentary ice cream. But guess what; that never showed up either. Due to it already being late we had to leave, so we asked for the check and got out of there. Horrible experience.

Excellent! Had the deluxe sashimi dinner. The fish was Very fresh, high grade and the presentation was beautiful. It was preceded by a very good miso soup and equally good beef teriyaki! Had to try the Toro after that. Like butter! Noho?!?! Who would've thunk it lol. Great value! My new, "go to" sushi spot in the valley!

The absolute BEST sushi in L. A.! I recommend everything. Seriously, you cannot get a bad or even a ho-hum meal here. Everything is excellent! I came for my birthday dinner and had the best Toro ever!!

Amazing sushi, super fresh and tasty, even if it is a bit expensive. Definitely a great hidden gem in the San Fernando valley. Parking: Very limited parking

My family loves to go here. We used to go quite often, but this last visit, we hadn't been in a while. Everything is still excellent, great service and pleasant sit down environment with a bar going around the sushi counter where you can watch the chefs make the sushi. We got an assortment of items and were stuffed by the end. All the fish tasted super fresh, my favorite being the eel. Would definitely go again.
