Had 4 appetizers as this was a last second drop in. Food was absolutely amazing. We kept on eating well after we were full. The fondue, bison tartar, and escargot were exceptional.

Attentive service but the food arrived cold and the food isn't anything like it once was. The place was dead and at over $100 a head it's unacceptable.

Service is solid and atmosphere is spacious and not over crowded. Cocktails were great. Food is in-line with current ratings — not a local phenomenon but lots of potential. At times, the dishes were over-simplified or diverged from traditions for the sake of uniqueness. That said, it is a delicious experience for Denver and I look forward to seeing how it evolves over time. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free

The food was mostly good, but I felt severely ripped off for $70 per person at an Easter brunch. The buffet was very small, and was $40 per person on its own. The only notable standouts on the buffet are macaroons and lightly crab topped deviled eggs. Everything else was quite basic, breads and fruits, simple things. Interestingly, there is a buffet station with French ham, cheese, and bread. Croque madame is on the entree menu.... which is French ham, cheese, bread, topped with an egg. The entree is an additional $28. I thought it was odd to have an item on the buffet that is remarkably similar to an entree that carries quite an upcharge to add an egg on top and toast it for you. Almost everyone was loading up on macaroons... which are good... but not want I want out of a pricey brunch. I had a salmon, eggs, and toast entree. It was good... but I make nova lox bagels at home for about $15 for two people that has more salmon on it than this $28 single entree. The exact same quality of salmon can be purchased at the grocery. I cannot imagine Chez Maggy is smoking her own salmon in the back, and it's not better than the grocery if she is. But it was good... My wife got the French toast entree. It was one thick sliced piece of bread with cinnamon and sugar. ONE SLICE OF BREAD for $28!! I can get a good loaf of bread at the store for $5. So let's say Chez Maggy's bread is the best in the city at $3 a slice. Cinnamon, sugar, syrup... somehow costs $25. I hope it was imported from India, Brazil, and Canada that morning. But it was good... The moral of this story is not whether or not the food is good at this restaurant. For $175 for two people (automatic 20% tip ON A BUFFET), without alcohol, without additions to the menu, it had better be more than good! But it wasn't. The mini-quiche on the buffet was awful, a severe disappointment. The croissants, cold and hard. It was one of the top meals I have ever felt so ripped off on. I would never go back. I can get good food anywhere for about 10 times less than this. A ribeye with a salad and loaded baked potato costs less than a single slice of bread at this place. What!? It's not THAT good. Not even close! I have no idea what gives this place the right to charge what they do. Because it's in LoDo? Even the valet parking was charging more than what they said on their website. I have no idea why anyone eats here.

Great French restaurant. Denver omelette with gruyere and lightly dressed butter leaf salad. Sublime!

I visited Chez Maggy for my birthday the other evening. I originally planned to go somewhere else, but after everyone in my party had to cancel, I decided to go somewhere more intimate. I had a lovely server, Kayla, who made my evening absolutely perfect. I forgot how sad I was dining alone by the end of my meal as she was great company and so sweet! The escargot was incredible. I loved the mild flavor and the tenderness. The scallops were also cooked to perfection and had a nice citrus that complemented the carrot purée. I’m very happy I decided to try this restaurant. It’s unusual for me to choose a hotel restaurant, but I will be back!
