This place is beautiful. We came in around 7, were seated and greeted promptly. They have a wonderful curated wine selection. Great smallish menu. We ended up with escargot, which I could eat every meal, the fondue, and shared a chateaubriand with the saffron shrimp, it was amazing. Big shout out to Eli, he really made our night special.
My visit was good in general. We got situated pretty fast however, we had a bit of a wait before we got attended to both for drinks and before our meals were served. By the time we got our appetizers, we felt probably we should have just paid for the drinks and headed out. Besides that, the ambience is great, the staff who attended to us was friendly, the meal itself was good. I had the Goat cheese and Roasted beef salad which was amazing. Didn't enjoy my entree Bouillabaisse Marseilliase as much. But my husband's Beef Bourguignon was great.
Recently spent one of the worst evenings of our lives in CULINARY HELL at Chateau West. For the sake of brevity, I won't go into every little problem, but in summary, it was absolutely the worst service ever coupled with very sub-par food with over-par pricing. We waited 45 minutes before we even got our drinks. At one hour and 50 minutes, we hadn't even received our salads. Only a hunt-down of the manager made that happen. And after that there were still no apologies or any concern to make things right. When our entrees were finally served, they were at flat room temperature. In summary - bad service and bad food, but most importantly, no one cared...not the staff and not management. Lastly, I will say that before posting this negative review, I sent an email to the restaurant to give them a chance to respond. Not surprisingly, it was completely ignored. There are other positive reviews here, so maybe it's not always so bad, but realize that if you go to Chateau West you'll be rolling the dice.
Quaint French restaurant with upscale but, cozy feel. Great service, romantic, and lovely. Recommend the breast of duck!
We went the Saturday after Valentine's Day, reaervations at 7. Super charming atmosphere and intimate table seating by the windows. Our server, Tuguys, was AMAZING. He was attentive, informative, and pleasant. They were super busy, but he was on top of it. The kitchen was slow, to be expected the wkd before/after Valentine's Day. It took about 45 to an hour for my salad to come out and about 2 hours for our entrees. We got the filet and, again, not impressed. I give 3 stars because I doubt we would go back as the food seemed subpar. However, our server and the atmosphere were great.
I was very excited to take my wife here but it was unfortunately not a good experience. She ordered the halibut with crab risotto special. The halibut was very dry and the crab risotto was under cooked. We told the server and they apologized and told us it was great last night. She ask if she could change it to the citrus sea scallops which was great. We are giving service a three because the original dish was not done correct which left us eating at separate times More importantly they charged me for the more expensive halibut special and not the dish she ate, scallops. They didn’t seem apologetic but rather defensive that the special was fine yesterday.
Great French cuisine! It was an awesome dining experience!
We definitely enjoyed our time here. The food was good and reasonably priced. Service was good and everything came out hot.
I absolutely love the escargot and salmon with blackberry sauce and vegetable risotto. Everything is always cooked perfectly and is absolutely delectable!
